The genre of my chosen song "dancing in the dark" falls into the category of pop/dance rock. typically in these types of songs, the music is generally very upbeat and forms the idea of capturing the audience to connect with the song. music videos typically consist of mostly performance-based as the energy performance matches the energy of the song. this is something I will include within my music video as I will have my artist showing energy that relates to the tempo of the song and engaging with the audience camera. I'm planning on doing the performance aspect as a live-styled performance which will be shown in the lighting as well as the staged-based area. this will also reinforce the anthemic idea as it will aim to be very uplifting for the audience especially if the artist is showing that type of energy. the main difference that my video will have in comparison to typical dance rock songs is that it will also have a narrative alongside that key performance aspect.
